    2. When loading the reaction medium, it should not exceed 2/3 of the liquid level of the glass reactor kettle body.

    4. Be careful not to mix water or other liquids when adding heat transfer oil.

    7.  When the final reaction temperature is determined, it is not allowed to change the temperature setting value during the heating process to avoid a large overshoot of the temperature.

    When using the heat transfer oil for the first time, there should be no impurities, no mixing of new and old oil, and no chemical liquid dripping into it.

    It cannot be heated to a high temperature at one time. It needs to be heated slowly first, and the temperature is slowly raised to allow the oil to be fully heated, so that it can be used for a longer time.

    Domestic thermal conductive silicone oil generally boils when it is heated to about 160 degrees.

    It is recommended that you choose imported thermal conductive silicone oil, which is colorless, odorless and has a longer service life.

    The glass reactor cooling system usually used for cooling reaction is mainly jacket cooling and coil cooling.

    Check for Leaks on Lab Reactor

    Check for leaks after a certain amount of nitrogen is introduced to maintain pressure for 30 minutes.

    Water can be used for internal cooling through the cooling coil.

    Please note that rapid cooling is prohibited to prevent excessive thermal stress from causing cracks on the cooling coil and the kettle body.

    You need to connect with a vacuum device, a high temperature or low temperature circulation device, etc. when putting explosion-proof jacketed glass reactor into use.

    You can heat or cool the material during the stir process in the kettle at a constant temperature with hot solution or cooling liquid injected through the interlayer. 

    When the material is heated and reacted, the evaporation efficiency can be improved under vacuum conditions.

    The solvent vapor is cooled into a liquid when it passes through the glass condensing coil (a cooling device needs to be connected), which can be refluxed into the kettle or recovered through the valve at the lower part of the reflux elbow.

    After the reaction is completed, the material can be discharged from the side discharge port at the bottom of the kettle.

    Use Special Insulation Cotton to Wrap the Glass Reactor

    This is the simplest and most direct insulation method. It’s like we wear more clothes when it’s cold. This can effectively prevent excessive temperature loss and provide heating speed.

    Properly increase the set temperature of the water-oil bath

    Increased bath temperature allows glass reactor to accept higher temperature and shorten heating time.

    When the instrument is close to the required operating temperature, lower the temperature of the oil bath to the actual operating temperature.

    For example: when the actual operating temperature is 100°C, the temperature of the oil bath can be set to 120°C.

    Then when the temperature of the reactor is close to 90 ℃, the temperature of the oil bath can be adjusted to 100 ℃.

    This can effectively increase the heating rate and shorten the waiting time.

    Do not fill up the solution in the glass reactor at one time

    Add solution in batches to increase ramp rate.

    The first liquid addition is about half of the capacity, and the temperature is close to the set temperature, and then the material is added to the reaction kettle.

    The packing seal is the gland compresses the packing when the compression bolt is rotated, so that the packing is deformed and adhered to the surface of the shaft to achieve the purpose of sealing.

    In chemical production, the shaft seal is easy to leak. Once the toxic gas overflows, it will pollute the environment and even cause an accident. Therefore, it is necessary to control the pressing force.

    The elastic deformation of the filler should be large, so that the filler is close to the rotating shaft, and the shrinkage force is generated on the rotating shaft. At the same time, the packing is required to have enough turns.

    Mechanical Seal of Glass Reactor

    The mechanical seal is composed of four parts: dynamic and static ring, spring loading device and auxiliary seal ring.

    Due to the action of the spring force, the dynamic tightness is pressed on the static ring. When the shaft rotates, the spring loading device and the moving ring and other parts rotate together with the shaft, while the static ring is fixed on the seat frame and does not move. The annular sealing end faces that the rings are in contact with prevent material leakage.

    • Before installation, use, maintenance and inspection, please be sure to read all the contents of the manual carefully and use it correctly.
    • The power supply voltage must be the same as that specified for this instrument.
    • No-load operation is not suitable for high-speed operation.
    • The life of the electrical box is greatly affected by the surrounding temperature and humidity. Please keep the governor and motor dry.
    • Install the machine first, then wire it by a professional electrician, and turn it on. The ground terminal must be grounded.
    • Electric shock may still occur due to the discharge of the inverter or capacitor within 5 minutes after the power is turned off.
    • When working, pay attention to the impact damage to the glass by hard objects.
    • Be careful when connecting the vacuum pipe and water pipe, so as not to break the glass with excessive force and damage the human body.
